What is matcha?

Matcha is a type of powdered green tea. It is made from tea leaves that are shade-grown, by grinding down the finest green tea leaves into a super fine powder. This powder can be whisked with water to make a cup of tea, or blended into smoothies!

Does this product contain caffeine?

Yes, but Matcha caffeine - the theanine helps to reduce the jittery aspects of caffeine. Caffeine isn't bad for you in moderate amounts and is actually beneficial in the form of Matcha. It's a mild stimulant that naturally occurs in a variety of beans, plants, nuts and fruits. The caffeine in Matcha actually can help to boost your metabolism by as much as 40%, while helping to regulate blood sugar levels.

How to make a matcha?

There are many ways to make matcha! The traditional method involves using a bamboo whisk. Add 1/2 tsp of matcha to a bowl, add 4 ounces of short of boiling temperature filtered water, and whisk back and forth in a zig zag motion until a froth forms on the surface of the matcha. The result is a creamy cup of green tea.

How many drinks can you make from of 1 can?

It's a 1oz tin and a serving is 1/2 tsp - but depends how much matcha you will serve. I would say up to 20 drinks from 1 can.

Is your tea tested for radiation?

Sure it is tested - the certificate of Radiation Measurement received on: 2018.02.21 - nothing detected. Our tea has all certification. 

What is the list of ingredients?

100% Matcha Tea leaves. No fillers or added sugars. Natural caffeine that has a slower awakening effect on you. Matcha also contains catechins which is where all your antioxidants come from.

How many servings do you get out of this product?

About 15 - 20 servings. When I first started drinking matcha a lot of brands advertised 30 servings because of its 30g weight. The ONLY way you are going to get 30 servings is if you are only dusting the product. Someone like me who likes the full-bodied taste has to have a little under a teaspoon. I've tried several brands.

What are the total calories and carbohydrates/sugar?

It is 0 calories etc as long as you get an unsweetened matcha.

Is this tea good for kids or not?

Depending on the child's age and consumption. Please do deeper research, possibly with the actual customer - Avega. My pre teen drinks a 14 ounce cup a day opposed to me drinking several 16 ounce cups.

How many ounces in this container & approximately how many servings?

There is 10 oz./ 30 gr. Per can. I use a heaped half teaspoon in the AM (with other items) smoothly....Instructions say add to hot water.
